The ensemble has finished to record the fourth volume (5 CDs) of the "Heinrich Schütz Edition" which will contain the Musikalische Exequien, the Geistliche Chormusik and the second part of the Kleine geistliche Concerte.
The recording sessions took place in Low Silesia.

The ensemble under Matteo Messori has performed for the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana in Rimini in the first Italian stage performance of the Händel oratorio La Bellezza ravveduta staged by the renowned producer Denis Krief.
The public as well as the national and international critics (such as the magazine OperaNow) praised the interpretation of the ensemble.

Cappella Augustana and Matteo Messori at the harpsichord are going to record the instrumental movements of the Musikalisches Opfer BWV 1079 by Johann Sebastian Bach. The harpsichord Fugues and Canons were recorded in June by the leader together with the Art of Fugue BWV 1080 and the Canonical Variations BWV 769. The 3-CDs box will be soon issued.

CD The ensemble proceeds with the first complete recording of Heinrich Schütz works for the Dutch music label Brilliant Classics (off-site link).
The first 14 CDs containing the Symphoniae sacrae I & II, the popular Historia der Geburt Christi, the Italian Madrigals, the wonderful Cantiones sacrae, the first collection of the Kleine geistliche Concerte, the Passions after St. Matthew, St. Luke and St. John, the Resurrection History and Seven Words, have already been published and have proved very successful among the public and the specialized international critics.

In 2009, on the occasion of the first centenary of Giuseppe Martucci’s death, Cappella Augustana and Matteo Messori will perform – for the first time in history – the never published romantic oratory of big importance, Samuel (1881), written by the great romantic Italian composer. The oratory requires soloists, double choir, full orchestra and organ.

The ensemble, under the direction of Matteo Messori, is recording the complete works by the Thuringian composer Heinrich Schütz (1585-1672) for the Dutch label Brilliant Classics (off-site link)(appr. 30 CDs).
